How To Cook Marvellous Millet

Millet isn’t difficult to prepare, there’s just a bit of a trick to it. Once you’ve learned how to prepare this nutritious grain, you’ll find that it has a multitude of uses in all types of dishes.

Cooking Instructions:
The simplest method of cooking is to boil the grain in water or with a Knorr stock pot until cooked and tender. You can also toast millet in a pan, to add a gentle nutty taste and aroma to your dish. 1 cup of raw millet makes about 2 cups of cooked millet.

The golden ratio is 1 cup of raw millet to 1 ½ cups water for cooking. Bring the water to a boil before adding the grain and reducing the heat, put a lid on the pot and allow the millet to cook until small holes appear in the surface. This is a sign that it is ready.
